‘The Biggest Loser’ Is Looking for New Trainers, Dumping Bob and Jillian?

jillian and bob

Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper are a huge part of the success of ‘The Biggest Loser‘, but we may be saying goodbye to them.

NBC is casting new trainers “to keep creative options open for the new season,” according to the network’s casting tour press release.

When contacted for clarification by Reality TV World, the show’s NBC spokesperson was unable to confirm whether current The Biggest Loser trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels will be part of the show’s eighth season and declined to comment beyond the release.

They better not be firing those two. I would kill to have a trainer like them, especially Jillian… She is my fitness role model. She used to be 50 pounds heavier and work her butt off to get where she is now. We’re on Team Bob & Jillian!!!

Joelle Gywnn Dishes on Her Time at “The Biggest Loser” Ranch

joelle

She was the contestant America loved to hate, and on Tuesday night, Joelle Gywnn was sent home from The Biggest Loser after losing 0 pounds that week. In an exit interview with former best friend and teammate Carla Triplett, Joelle dished about her time on the ranch. Here’s a highlight:

As far as Carla, and they keep talking about that eating [challenge], that was just strong competition and excellent strategy. The only reasonI didn’t go for it was because I was diabetic and I was already on the end of the rope on campus. At that moment, that was one thing where I kinda knew her and I knew she would deliver and that’s he type of strategy.

And just again to go back to that decision to decide who was staying [on the ranch]. That first week we kinda started with challenges. Carla [is a manager], she likes to manage and I like more of a team effort because there are a lot of people giving their two cents about what should be done, and in the back of my mind its like “It everyone’s such a high authority, how did we get to have all of these huge obesity issues and why are we on The Biggest Loser?” Because everyone was such a strong authority on what should be done, they should be home and fit and coaching somewhere. Otherwise we need to be quiet and listen to those professional [as they] coach us.

“The Biggest Loser: Couples” How Tara Got Fat

Tara Costa is the “girl with the pretty face” on this season of The Biggest Loser: Couples. She’s a part of the Green Team with friend Laura, and they are labeled the “former models”. So, we are all wondering- how does a girl who used to get her picture taken for a living get up to 300 pounds?

She’s worked as a plus-size model, but The Biggest Loser: Couples contestant Tara Costa admits that stepping in front of the camera eventually became a nightmare for her. “I wouldn’t want to take pictures because I knew that once I saw them, the truth would be in front of my face,” the 5-foot-9 Tara tells Life & Style, who first weighed in at 294 pounds on the show. “I was in complete denial. I only wanted to see myself as I once was.”

In fact, as her clothing size went up, Tara, who says she gained about 110 pounds from May 2006 to the start of the show, even stopped weighing herself. “Before that, I was at a healthy weight,” says Tara. “I was working, modeling, finishing up college.” While Tara, 23, can’t pinpoint why she started packing on the pounds, she attributes much of it to her emotional state. “I think there were many factors leaving college, starting a new job, being in a relationship that wasn’t the best for me,” says Tara. “I don’t think I was a happy person. I’m realizing that more now as I lose weight.”

Well, good for her. It could probably happen to most people, but it’s so sad that at age 23 her weight had already gotten out of control and her life filled with bad habits. Hopefully the show will help her kick start her weight loss and fitness goals and she won’t gain the weight back!
