It was a quick three seasons for Whitney Port on The City.  After leaving The Hills, she branched out solo on this venture and now, after the third season ends, it will be time for a new round of fashion adventures for the young, MTV star.  Port told Ryan Seacrest,

“I’m working on some other things. It’s okay, one door closes and another opens.”

MTV made this sweet statement,

“‘The City’ will not be returning to MTV for season three. Whitney has been a part of our family for many years and we wish her and the cast the best, and hope to collaborate with them again.”

I think that Whitney will have a lot more success in her future.  She’s a household name and holds a ton of potential for TV shows as well as the fashion industry.  I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeves next.

The City star, Whitney Port who got her start on The Hills is ready to show us her sexy side thank to a spread in Maxim.  She shared the news via her blog,

“I’ve always been classified as the cutesy girl-next-door type, so doing this shoot will give me the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and show people an entirely different side of me.  I’m definitely nervous, but I know that this will be an incredibly empowering and liberating experience. Those thousands of push-ups and sit-ups better pay off!”

Whit has definitely always been the “good girl” type so I think this shoot is going to be even hotter because it’s going to be new.  Most of the girls we see making these spreads show off their goods on a regular basis.  Whitney Port is going to a fresh kind of sexy.  Can’t wait!

The Hills season five has ended and we all thought that was the end of the show all together.  But, it looks like season six is locked in and we will get a whole new season of fashion, drama, and um, laughs…

HOW MUCH DO THESE HILLS STARS MAKE?

I know that so many people like ot bag on the show.  They call is fake reality TV.  I don’t care what it is for all of you, for ME a my guilty pleasure.  Give me some red wine, dark chocolate, and put The Hills on and I am one happy girl!

Oh, and YES.  The City has also been renewed for another season! Yay!  Thank you MTV!

Whitney Port, who has found success in her own show The City, says that it’s fun to date around. She is love being single and the things that go with it. She has also learnt a couple of things about being single, and is willing to tell everyone all about it.

“Just be open to all different possibilities and all different types. Try not to overanalyze things or put too much pressure on things because it’s just fun to meet a lot of people, to date around, to figure out what you really want and what really works for you.”

I know when the show returns in the fall I’ll be excited to see if she gets back with Jay Lyon but Whitney has said that they are not really even really friends.

“I’d never say we’re, like, not friends, but you know, the past is the past. I think in an ideal world, of course you want to stay friends with your exes. I mean, there was something there. There was a reason you liked each other in the first place! But you know, the world isn’t always perfect, and sometimes we have to let people go and move forward and sometimes you can’t do that if you’re still having a relationship — even if it’s just as friends.”

I know I would love to be able to say that I still talk to my exs but I am horrible at the break-up thing. If I can’t have them I don’t even want to even know that they exist anymore. I must be horrible for thinking that.

Whitney Port and Olivia Palermo- the sometimes friends and co-workers on MTV’s The City- went head-to-head in a fashion face-off last night at the CFDA Fashion Awards. Though Whitney donned an utterly disastrous outfit earlier this week, I still have to give her top honors when paired against the completely arrogant and annoying socialite last night. Whit’s dress was sheer perfection, and though Olivia did look great, she just can’t beat the California-turned-city girl on this one.

Though their break-up was chronicled on The City season finale, Whitney Port & Jay Lyon may not reunite next season on MTV. Though complete loser Olivia Palermo and cool chick Erin Lucas have both signed on to continue the show, Jay Lyon hasn’t decided whether he will return or not.

“I’m still deciding,” said Jay Lyon, who is also the singer for Tamarama. “I’m still talking with our managers and working out if it’s the right decision for [Tamarama] right now. That’s the main priority at the moment and always will be.”

Perhaps for good reason. The Australian band, which Jay formed with Nicolas “Pottsy” Potts, played at an event with White Tie Affair and Blue October this week, and have recently inked a deal to make an album with top producer David Kahne.

Since their break-up, Whitney has reportedly hooked up with Lipstick Jungle hottie Robert Buckley and had rendezvous with Jay. They are really cute together, but she deserves so much better than he gave her. I mean has she looked in the mirror lately? She’s drop-dead gorgeous, smart and has a great career- a guy should be begging to be with her. Team Whitney all the way!

Following their appearance at Paley Fest 09, the stars of The Hills shared some major spoilers for this season, and I am so excited!! Spencer Pratt‘s sister Stephanie said that he and Heidi Montag weren’t there because they were in the studio making music. Is that what they call that junk they put out? Speaking of the now infamous Speidi wedding coming up, here’s what she said:

“I don’t think Spencer is allowed to have a bachelor party. Holly and I are throwing around the idea of a bridal shower before. I just hope no one objects [at the wedding].”

And when the conversation turned to the Lauren Conrad sex tape rumors, it looks like the truth might finally come out!

“We have it on tape that he [Spencer] takes responsibility for it. Sorry. Spoiler alert!”

And here is more super fun spoilage:

Lauren said that she’s “not planning on going” to the Speidi wedding, but “it was very nice of her to invite me, but she didn’t really expect me to go.”

Brody Jenner‘s going to be there, though. He said “I will just be attending the wedding and maybe sitting with Lauren and possibly my girlfriend and just kind of watching and taking it in. They are both pretty crazy. But, who isn’t crazy?”

“I think that Heidi and Spencer just work together. They seem to click and that’s all that matters. Obviously it works out for them and I’m happy for them.”

As for his own wedding plans – or lack thereof – with girlfriend Jayde Nicole, Brody said: “We’re not rushing anything. We’re not like Spencer and Heidi.”

Speaking again of Brody, but on a different topic, Audrina Patridge said of her alleged flirtation on last week’s The Hills, “Brody and I are just friends … there is definitely a lot more drama with Justin and I to come [on the show].”

As for Whitney Port and her spinoff The City, a second season is definitely a go: “I’m still filming in New York, but we are making some changes. Possibly a job change, yes. There are no hard feelings. I want to try different things.”

I am so excited! This might be the best season yet on the show. And I cannot wait for season two of The City. Hopefully they will dump Olivia Palermo. She’s such a bore and if Whitney switches jobs, there will be no need for her. Yay!

Whitney Port looks beautiful on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine’s newest “sexy” issue, but what she says inside is even better.

“I break down a couple of times a week, at least,” Whitney admits, rolling her expressive, almond-shaped brown eyes and then letting out a sigh.

“It gets overwhelming for me. Sometimes I think that I can’t take [The City] anymore. I just want to live a normal life.”

I wonder if her ex Jay Lyon will stay on as a cast member next season. That would be kind of weird, but it would create drama, which producers love.

On last night’s season finale of The City, we saw Whitney Port dump a heartbroken Jay Lyon, leaving him standing alone in the street, in tears. I kind of just figured that as soon as the show wrapped, they got back together and it was mostly all for tv. Apparently I was wrong!

The City creator and executive producer Adam Divello exclusively confirms to Us, “Whitney and Jay are broken up as of The City season finale. There were a few factors in their relationship that led to their split and fans saw those play out on-air. As we pick up where we left off when the show returns later this year, viewers will see what unfolds as we continue to tell Whitney’s story.”

On Friday, Whitney was in Vegas to celebrate her sister Ashley’s bachelorette party. She told us having a relationship in front of a TV crew has been hard for her, “It’s really difficult. Put yourself in this position. It’s hard to have an intimate relationship no matter what, whether there are cameras there or not, so it’s not the most natural thing. It kind of speeds [the relationship] up. It takes a lot of the spontaneity out of it.”

Well, congrats to Whitney I guess. I really loved them together, but she can definitely do better. She deserves the best of the best!!!

Whitney and Olivia met with their bosses about who would work with the London team- and how it would be amazing for whoever got chosen.

Adam surprises Erin at work to confront her about the drama that she brought to the surface. He told her to stay out of his life, and that she was a player trying to ruin his life. He got in her face… real winner.

At DVF, Olivia tells Whit it was “incredibly immature” to bring Jay into the workplace by talking about their problems. Nice!

Whitney calls Lauren Conrad- her Los Angeles BFF- to discuss the situation. Whit feels lost and alone, and isn’t sure if she made the right decision moving to NYC. She tells her about Olivia stepping on top of everyone to get where she wants. Lauren encourages her not to give up her dream for guys- since she’s been down that road. She tells her to kick butt at her job to show up the mean girl and get over the jerk. Good advice, LC!!!

At Erin’s apartment, she tells Allie about the lambasting she got from Adam at work the day before. She says that even though he says she’s the love of his life, actions speak louder than words.

At the DVF show, Olivia once again claims credit for pulling the Elle cover look that she really hated and Whitney loved. Ugh! Whitney asks Olivia why she took all the credit for it, when she was actually the one who pulled the look. Olivia gets snooty again- big shocker. Behind the scenes, Liv is scmoozing with the London staff member, obviously trying to land the gig.

Diane von Furstenburg herself approaches Whitney about why she looks so down and isn’t partying with everyone else. They discuss the Jay issues, and DVF tells her that absence should fuel their passion and she needs to take care of herself first and foremost. Olivia may have gotten that other dude’s attention, but Whit got Mrs. Diane herself!

At Il Bastardo, Allie asks Adam why he yelled at Erin at work. He tells her he misses her and asks what he can do to make it work between them. He swears that she will never hear anything about him with other girls ever again, and calls her his one true love. They kiss and make up.

Olivia gets the big job as the U.S. liason in London, but Whitney gets a call from Jay. As she’s leaving to meet him, Liv tells her about getting the gig, and Whitney blows it off and runs out to meet him. Outside, Jay tells her he feels bad about how things were left, and he wanted to see her. He admits he made a mistake and tells her he loves her, while fighting back tears. He tells her he wants to be with her, and she says it’s too little too late. When he asks if she loves him, she says she lost herself in “us” and didn’t pay attention to what she came to NYC for and set out to do. She tells him she wants to be alone and do what she came there to do. She apologizes and walks off.

Whoa! Curveball! That was NOT what I expected!
