Not exactly what I was imagining, but certainly very crazy. This movie is going to be a major hit. I have to say Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter does seem like a great fit.

Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter are hands down one of my favorite couples. I think that they are so eccentric and open. I guess that sometimes makes people only write bad things about them. They were at the Cecil Sharp House to raise funds for new museum celebrating British folk customs in London on Thursday.
I also have heard rumors that Tim’s amazing Alice In Wonderland movie, starring Johnny Depp, might be coming out in March of 2010. I think that it will be what it’s being hyped up to being and more.

Helena Bonham Carter took her daughter, Nell, out for a chilly stroll near her London home yesterday. It looks like it’s really chilly there! I also love how both mother and daughter are both wearing pink. I’m not a fan of pink like some people I know but that is for sure cute.
I can’t wait to see Helena’s next movie with husband, Tim Burton, Alice In Wonderland. And with the cast that movie has it should be one of the best Tim Burton movies ever.

This really looks cool, it reminds me very directly of a game for Playstation 3 called Little Big Planet. This one is fittingly out on 9-9-09.

In a recent interview with Movies Online, Alan Rickman talked a little about Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, and his roll in the upcoming film.
MoviesOnline: What are you playing in Alice in Wonderland?
ALAN RICKMAN: The caterpillar.
MoviesOnline: A caterpillar? How do you get into something like that?
ALAN RICKMAN: Well, fortunately it’s animated.
MoviesOnline: Oh, okay.
ALAN RICKMAN: But it’s my face on an animated caterpillar. So, it’s a mixture. The movie is a mixture of live action, animation, and stop motion, so it’s very complicated and I don’t think all three have been put together ever before.
MoviesOnline: Oh, I don’t think so. No.
ALAN RICKMAN: So I’ll be with a live action Alice. I will be a construct.
MoviesOnline: Who is the Alice that you’re playing opposite?
ALAN RICKMAN: Mia [Wasikowska] is her name. I don’t know her surname. I met her yesterday because they’re shooting right here. If you make yourself into the invisible person, you can go in and have a look. She’s a young 19-year-old, apparently absolutely brilliant and certainly delightful person.
Something I’ve been complaining about for years it the overuse of CGI in movies, I’m thrilled that they are using stop-motion animation for parts of Alice, I’m sure it will be amazing. And I can’t imagine a better voice saying “Whooo aaarreee yooouuuu?”

Here is the first picture of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s upcoming film, Alice In Wonderland. The film is currently in production and is set for release in March 2010 (That’s Twenty-Ten). Don’t get too excited now.
