Funny New ‘Date Night’ Poster/Trailer with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey

Date Night Poster

Here’s the new poster and trailer for the upcoming action comedy Date Night with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey.

This does look pretty funny, I love Tina Fey! Steve Carrell is funny, but he really only does one character, I can’t help but see him as Michael Scott from The Office any time he speaks.

30 Rock – Tina Fey Goes Glam For Harper’s Bazaar (Photos)

Tina Fey covers Harper's Bazaar Nov 09 issue

One of my all time favorite funny girls, Tina Fey is covering Harper’s Bazaar for the November 2009 issue.  Tina goes totally glam for this photo shoot and I must say, I am loving the look.

Here are some highlights from the article:

On Botox: “You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don’t think Botox is for me. I think it is bad,” she says. People with Botox “look like their faces are full of candles — a shiny, shiny face. Festive. A holiday candle.”

On her trademark specs: “I don’t wear them very much in real life because I need them to see only far away,” she says. “And I don’t wear them when I am dressed up, because then I would look like Tootsie.”

On why her 30 Rock alter-ego Liz Lemon would be BFF with Sex & the City’s Carrie Bradshaw: “Liz has little to no style and little to no sex drive,” she says. “Carrie would be very encouraging of Lemon and help her have more confidence.”

On her day-to-day schedule: “Work, come home, play, kid bounce, work again, go to bed.” Fey goes on to say she often writes 30 Rock on the way to the studio and is so overwhelmed that “sometimes I’ll be telling my husband [composer Jeff Richmond], ‘I think I’m cracking up.’”

I love this girl!  ….a shiny, shiny face.  Festive…..LMAO.  Seriously, Tina is a natural.  Thank you God for Tina Fey!

Grab a copy of Harper’s Bazaar to read the rest of Tina’s interview, on stands October 20th.

James Franco and Mark Wahlberg Join Steve Carrell in ‘Date Night’

james_francomark-wahlberg-sgg-053091

Franco and Wahlberg have signed on for the new comedy Date Night with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey.

Wahlberg plays a successful and crazily buff securities expert who flirts with Fey’s character. Franco portrays a not-too-bright conman and petty criminal. Meester is onboard as the couple’s babysitter. Henson plays the one good cop who believes the couple is in danger, and Common portrays a villain. Wiig, who worked with Fey on “Saturday Night Live,” rounds out the cast as the actress’ best friend.

Sounds like a lot of fun, this is a great cast. It’s really not surprising that big stars are signing on for smaller roles when Carrell and Fey are the main characters, who wouldn’t want to work with them?

What Do Celebrities Earn?

beyonce-jay-z-cipriani

Are celebrities recession proof?  Based the amounts some of your favorite stars earned last year, you’ve got to wonder if many of them are even noticing the economic downturn.  Check out these celebs’ salaries!

Beyonce – $80 million

Jay-Z – $82 million

Jennifer Aniston – $27 million

Kelly Ripa – $8 million

Tina Fey – $4.6 million

Taylor Swift – $5.5 million

Will Ferrell – $31 million

Britney Spears – $2.25 million

Wow!  Wouldn’t you like to earn even a fraction of what some of these folks do?    Well, technically, I guess I literally DO earn a fraction of what they do… a really really really SMALL fraction!

Ellen DeGeneres Doing a Voice in ‘Dog Show’

RGB

Ellen DeGeneres has signed on to do a voice in the upcoming animated film Dog Show.

Warner Bros. has picked up “Dog Show,” an animation pitch from Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, the writers behind DreamWorks Animation’s’ “Master Mind,” which is in production with Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey as the lead voice actors.

With “Show,” writer John Glenn (“Eagle Eye”) and producer David Manpearl developed the idea with Schoolcraft and Simons before approaching DeGeneres, who stamped it with her unique sensibilities. The team took the project around town, with Warners beating several suitors to take best in show.

Ellen made Dory from Finding Nemo very memorable, I’m sure she’ll do it again with whatever character she’s voicing in this movie.

Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons script concerns a brilliant superhero villain who loses his life’s purpose when he accidentally kills his good-guy nemesis.

Sounds like it might be pretty fun, expect this one on November 5th, 2010.

Worst Dressed At The SAG Awards 2009: Tina Fey

Tina Fey

Tina Fey wore a short short purple dress on the red carpet last night at the SAG Awards at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. I think this is one of those things that you either love or hate. I hate it. From the waist up she looks amazing but the dress is a huge fail. I think that it would have worked better if she wore a dress that was floor length like mostly everyone else did.

30 Rock swept most of the awards at the SAG’s. I’m sure without Tina they would be nothing. Tina even won the SAG for Female Actress in a Comedy Series, and that I totally agree with. Tina made me laugh this year. And from the sounds of it she even got Tracy Morgan to finally keep his mouth shut!

Tina Fey Wins At The Golden Globes, Her Response “Suck It”

One of my favorite moments of the Golden Globes last night was Tina Fey‘s acceptance speech for Actress In A TV Comedy Series. It was real and raw (and I wonder how drunk she was, it seemed like the 30 Rock people had a lot of fun at the Golden Globes last night).

After thanking the Hollywood Foreign Press she said

“I really know how very lucky I am to have the year that I have had this year. And if you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the Internet, and you can find a lot of people there who dont like you. Id like to address some of them now,

And she went on to tell her critics to “Suck it.”

I tracked down the real people who she mentioned. They are from the forum The Envelope at the LA Times website. One of the girls that Tina mentioned dianefan answered Tina back by saying this…

I’m famous. She mentioned BabsonLacrosse too. Sorry Tina Fey but I still don’t think you deserved to win.

Seriously, this is the best. You can’t even write this stuff. Congratulations Tina, you complete me!
