The super producer gave fans a twitter peek at the often stalled, but now moving forward flick The Lone Ranger.

The photo shows Johnny Depp in full make-up and costume as Tonto, standing behind Armie Hammer‘s suave-looking Lone Ranger.

Depp, 48, has spoken of his Native American heritage and how he wanted this version of Tonto to be more accurate and less of a stereotype than the original TV series character.

“I liked Tonto, even at that tender age, and knew Tonto was getting the unpleasant end of the stick here,” Depp said. “That’s stuck with me. And when the idea came up [for the movie], I started thinking about Tonto and what could be done in my own small way try to — ‘eliminate’ isn’t possible — but reinvent the relationship, to attempt to take some of the ugliness thrown on the Native Americans, not only in The Lone Ranger, but the way Indians were treated throughout history of cinema, and turn it on its head.”

Depp rallied for his Pirates and Rango director, Gore Verbinski to helm this although it hit a script snag. The movie was temporarily shelved in August of 2011 but the film is back on track.

Actress Patricia Heaton has issued a “Mea Culpa” on twitter for joining Rush Limbaugh and issuing a personal attack on Sandra Fluke; the woman who appeared at a Congressional hearing regarding birth control & insurance last week.

Heaton addressed Fluke via twitter and offered her a series of flippant tweets on how she could save money to purchase her own contraception.

“Hey G-Town Gal: turn your underwear inside out! Then u only have to do laundry every 2 weeks – saves on detergent & trips to laundromat!” The Middle star tweeted.

“Plz let us also pay for your Starbucks, movie theater tickets, and your favorite hot wings combo deal at KFC! Anything else?”

Continuing, the 54 year-old Everybody Loves Raymond actress also brought Fluke’s parents into the war of words.

“G-Gal: you’ve given yer folks (a) great gift for Mother’s/Father’s Day! Got up in front of whole world & said I’m having tons of sex- pay 4 it!”

“If your parents have to pay for your birth control, maybe they should get a say in who u sleep with! Instant birth control!”

After receiving negative feedback, the actress temporarily shut down her twitter account. She reopened it with an apology to Fluke.

“I crossed the line w/ (with) @SandraFluke. Don’t agree w/her views, but I was not showing Christ’s love.”

“I apologized to Ms Fluke last week. I may not agree with her views but I didn’t treat her with respect and I’m sorry. I was wrong. Mea culpa.”

Limbaugh called the Georgetown student “a slut” and “a prostitute” because she testified the University’s health insurance should cover birth control. He also has issued an apology but has lost a number of corporate sponsors for his show.

AnnaLynne McCord exposed herself on twitter to all her followers.

The gorgeous 90210 actress posted a photo of herself showing off a necklace but McCord must have forgotten to check her camera angle because she was topless in the shot and her nipple made a surprise appearance.

“This is for you, @meganraee You Rock! Xxx” she tweeted to a fan with the attached photo.

McCord quickly realized her mistake and simply took the photo down and re-cropped the shot – minus her perky accessory.

The actress isn’t letting it get to her. She’s taking the oops moment in stride.

“My only response to all these lovely people is, ‘He who be without sin cast the first stone,’ McCord said in response to the controversy. If you have never messed up or done anything wrong in your life, then please, feel free to judge me.”

“I’m a human being and we make mistakes,” she went on to say.

AnnaLynne will be heading to the 2012 Sundance Festival to promote her film Excision, by director Ricky Bates, Jr.

Miley Cyrus has a knack for finding friends that sell her out.

This time, the singer was at her 19th birthday party held at Beacher’s Madhouse in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel when she was filmed saying some seemingly incriminating things.

Cyrus was given a cake with reggae singer/weed enthusiast Bob Marley‘s image on it and the singer took the microphone to poke fun at her own infamous bong-smoking past.

Cyrus, who was caught on tape last year after friends taped her smoking salvia, joked with the crowd:

“This is amazing. You know you’re a stoner when your friends make you a ‘Bob Miley’ cake. You know you smoke way too much f––ing weed,” Miley said on this new tape that surfaced from her party.

Cyrus’ close pal Kelly Osbourne, who organized the bash that included dancing dwarves and a “Super Bass” performance from a Nicki Minaj impersonator, was the one who presented her with the cake.

“I thought salvia was your problem, Miley,” Osbourne quipped after Cyrus handed her the mic.

Once again, someone from Miley’s party filmed it and now it’s found it’s way online.

Osbourne defended Cyrus through twitter and told people to lighten up on her friend.

“let me make something very clear after @MileyCyrus salvia incident we started calling her bob miley as a JOKE!”

“the cake was also A JOKE! it makes me sick that @MileyCyrus so called ‘friends’ would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not!”

The E! Fashion Police host also noted Miley’s work ethic and said she works so constantly it would be just about impossible for Cyrus to be high all the time.

“u guys if @MileyCyrus is not recording/filming/touring she is works everyday how could she possible do all that if she was a stoner! #think.”

The b-day celebration had Miley’s boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth and both her parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus in attendance as well as her friends Rumer Willis, Victoria Justice and Aly Michalka all hanging out and having a good time.

I feel for Cyrus. The whole situation sounds like she was poking fun at herself and people have taken the opportunity to show her in what too many will rush to judge as “a bad light.”

Selena Gomez has baby news of her own – she’s getting a younger sibling!

Gomez, who is currently dating pop star Justin Bieber, has been dealing with the baby drama of her boyfriend’s paternity suit from fan Mariah Yeater, is clearly happy about this little bambino announcement.

“Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news… My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister,” the 19 year-old Monte Carlo actress tweeted along with a sweet photo of the two.

Gomez’ mother Mandy Teefey and her stepfather Brian Teefey are expecting their first child together.

This will be Selena’s first sibling and the age difference is something similar to her role in Ramona and Beezus, where she was the big sister to young actress Joey King‘s Ramona in the movie based on the beloved Beverly Cleary novels.

Congrats to Selena and her family.

Ashton Kutcher is feeling the heat as the twitterverse expresses their outrage over the actor’s comments suggesting the firing of Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno was the wrong move.

Paterno got the axe today in light of the terrible accusations coming to light regarding Paterno’s assistant coach Jerry Sandusky and allegations of ongoing sexual abuse and molestation of multiple children.

Kutcher tweeted his support of Paterno and felt the move to fire the coach, who up till now had been a well-respected sports figure.

“How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste” the actor said.

It was then Kutcher received a barrage of replies from his followers questioning his logic.

The 33 year-old deleted his tweet about 30 minutes later and replied to his followers that he didn’t know the full story and thought the firing was “a football thing.”

Kutcher continued to respond to people calling him an idiot (and much worse) and tried to take responsibility for not being fully informed.

“U r right, I need 2b more responsible 4 my voice,” he replied.

Ashton continued:

“As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case.”

“As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error. Won’t happen again.”

As Kutcher has reminded us all in the past, we are our own editors on the net and we have only ourselves to blame for continuing rumors and misinformation but when someone makes a mistake and owns up to it – how much outrage does the individual deserve?

Ali Landry gave birth to a baby boy, Marcelo, 4 weeks ago and today the actress gave everyone the first peek.

The former Miss USA shared a photo of her husband, Alejandro Monteverde holding their son.

“Alejandro was able to leave his film for 2 days to be with us for Marcelo’s birth. Marcelo looks just like him,” she tweeted with the picture.

The couple also have a 4 year-old daughter, Estela.

Monteverde, 34, is currently directing Little Boy with Sean Astin, Kevin James, Emily Watson and David Henrie. According to IMDb, Landry also has a role in the film.

Ali will also be on the new TV Guide Network series Hollywood Mom’s Night, premiering November 27th. She and Alison Sweeney, Denise Richards and Candice Cameron Bure share parenting strategies over a monthly pot-luck dinner.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez get broody with six babies in a photo the Biebs posted online.

The “Baby” singer and his girlfriend give Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt a run for their money at a picnic with the kiddies. He captioned the Instagram pic:

“Brangelina 2.0 hahahahahaha”

Bieber, 17, recently said he wanted to be a father at a fairly young age.

“By 25 or 26, I want to see myself, like, married or start looking for a family,” he told WWD when asked about his future goals. “I want to be a young dad.”

He added, “I want to be able to have done what I wanted to do (before I start a family) — to be successful, to do a movie or whatever. But if the time is right, I definitely want to be married by 25.”

Bieber however isn’t in any real rush. He clarified his statement to WWD

“One thing, I’m not looking to get married now,” he said.

Jessica Simpson decided it was time to put the rumors to rest that she was about to have breast reduction surgery by err, supporting her breasts.

“Been getting lots of questions about this alleged breast reduction…not to worry…I LOVE MY BOOBIES!! They aren’t going anywhere!” she tweeted.

“It’s UDDERly not true!” Simpson continued. “Breast assured everyone!”

The 31 year-old fashion mogul has a new reality competition show debuting on NBC. Fashion Star will bow mid season and stars Simpson, Nicole Richie and Elle MacPherson.

She is also engaged to NFL player Eric Johnson.

As if Demi Lovato hasn’t been through enough lately, the singer has found herself the target of critics who scrutinized her body at the 2011 MTV VMAs in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The 19 year-old “Skyscraper” singer wore a cleavage-bearing, silver Mandalay dress that showed off her body.

When photos surfaced, she was singled out on twitter for her weight gain and subjected to comments about her figure which come off as especially cruel considering Lovato was in rehab late last year/early this year for treatment of (among other issues) an eating disorder.

Lovato didn’t take kindly to the barbs and told those who were pointing it out to “deal with it.”

“I’ve gained weight. Get over it. That’s what happens when you get out of treatment for AN EATING DISORDER,” she tweeted.

Demi later removed that tweet and went for something a bit gentler in tone, making it clear that she is stronger now than ever.

“Guess what, I’m healthy and happy, and if you’re hating on my weight you obviously aren’t.”

I find it unfathomable that people would comment and contribute to her self-esteem issues in such a callous manner.
