Seems like Tyler Perry cranks out more movies than the Octomom cranks out babies. He certainly doesn’t subscribe to the quality vs. quantity rule of thought.

‘Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too’ Teaser With Janet Jackson

Why Did I Get Married Too Title

Here’s the new teaser trailer for the upcoming Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too starring Janet Jackson.

I gotta hand it to Tyler Perry, his movies may be melodramatic and rushed, but he’s a prolific writer director. Handle it Tyler, handle it.

What it’s about: When Madea, America’s favorite pistol-packing grandma, catches sixteen-year-old Jennifer and her two younger brothers looting her home, she decides to take matters into her own hands and delivers the young delinquents to the only relative they have: their aunt April. A heavy-drinking nightclub singer who lives off of Raymond, her married boyfriend, April wants nothing to do with the kids. But her attitude begins to change when Sandino, a handsome Mexican immigrant looking for work, moves into April’s basement room. Making amends for his own troubled past, Sandino challenges April to open her heart. And April soon realizes she must make the biggest choice of her life: between her old ways with Raymond and the new possibilities of family, faith…and even true love.

Rating: Rated PG-13 for mature thematic material involving a sexual assault on a minor, violence, drug references and smoking.

Release Date: September 11th, 2009

Thoughts: Lets just put it this way, if you are a fan of Tyler Perry movies (which I am not) you’ll see this movie no matter what I say. I’m just expecting this movie to make a lot of money, like most of his movies do, and that’s that. Perry is a great business man!

janet_jackson-pregnant

Even in the wake of Michael Jackson‘s death Janet Jackson has signed on to reprise her role in the sequel Why Did I Get Married Too from Tyler Perry

The thesp will again portray a successful author and psychologist who prefers to analyze other’s relationship problems rather than deal with her own marriage.

Jackson’s the first announced casting for the project other than Perry. Lionsgateannounced in March that it had acquired rights to “Why Did I Get Married Too” and “I Can Do Bad All by Myself” with Perry writing, directing and starring in both projects.

Tyler Perry melodrama certainly brings in the crowds, hopefully Janet is ready to jump back into acting. Life goes on.

Music star Mary J. Blige has been cast in Tyler Perry‘s next comedy I Can Do Bad All By Myself.

The film, which is adapted from one of his early plays, is about a woman named Madea whose family comes to visit her when she falls ill.

Blige will play nightclub manager Tanya who is best friends with Henson’s character, named April. This is Mary’s first on-screen appearance since her 2007 stint on Entourage. And we hear through Billboard that she’ll be appearing on a popular primetime TV series this year as well. Details will be announced at a later date.

He just keeps cranking out those Medea movies, Mary J is a great artist she’ll be a good addition to the film.
