Tyra Banks is speaking out about the mass chaos that erupted at the New York auditions for the next cycle of America’s Next Top Model

“To all the `Top Model’ hopefuls who were affected by the New York casting, we are doing everything we can to make sure that ALL the girls who weren’t seen, get an opportunity to audition — we’ll update you on our plans very soon,” Banks said in a statement issued Monday by the CW network.

I don’t know about you, but I kind of expected an apology? Great, they are rescheduling the madness… What about the people who were injured and hospitalized? Geesh, Mrs. Domestic Violence spokesperson!

Tyra Banks Arranges for ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Contestant to Have Sex-Change

Isis King became the first-ever contestant on America’s Next Top Model to have been born male. During her time in the competition, she still had all male “parts” and had trouble with swimsuit and tight clothing shoots. Host and executive producer Tyra Banks (who’s looking a little tranny herself these days) surprised Isis with the news that she’s arrangedfreesex reassignment surgery for “her”.

“This is not happening!” King when Banks surprised her with the news, according to Us. “[I feel] like I’m about to wake up.”

The 22-year-old program assistant from Prince George’s County, MD — who was born Darrell Walls — had yet to have the surgery because she was unable to afford the $20,000 to $35,000 price tag.

The surgery will be performed and paid for by Dr. Marci Bowers, a gender reassignment surgeon who has experienced the surgery herself, Us reported.

Catch all this and more on today’s episode of The Tyra Banks Show.

‘America’s Next Top Model’ Gets Rid of Awkward Marjorie

Two down in two weeks! The “European” duo on America’s Next Top Model had it’s first casualty last week when Athiest and arrogant Elina was sent packing. Her even more annoying and awkward friend Marjorie was finally dumped last night. The chick took some good pictures, but her personality, nerves and boring demeanor is what sent her packing. But that wasn’t until she got drunk, hooked up with her boat driver in the bathtub, and complained about her Dutch shoes all the way through her photo shoot. She’s a winner.

Sheena’s Too Hooch for ‘America’s Next Top Model’

After weeks of being told she looked cheap, trashy, and hoochie, Sheena finally got the ax on America’s Next Top Model. Athiest, aggressive, prostitution-loving Elina was in the bottom yet again, but somehow managed to claw her way out. Analeigh, Marjorie and Elina continued their weird activities, bathing together and talking about how much better Europe is. Maybe they should all just move there.

Rejected from ‘America’s Next Top Model’: Transgendered Isis King Speaks Out

After being booted from America’s Next Top Model, Isis King had some things she wanted to say. Here are some of them:

“I have a lot of personality people!” the 22-year-old from Prince George’s County, MD proclaimed to reporters during a Thursday media conference call that followed her elimination on Wednesday night’s broadcast. “I have a really big personality,” Isis told reporters. “I am a really humble person… but I’m goofy. I like to have fun. That part of me [the show wasn't] really showing. It showed more of my struggle, which I do have also.”

“I think [it] started to drain me so much to be constantly on the cameras 24-hours-a-day and not have any time for privacy at all to get myself back together to talk to somebody,” she told reporters. “On the show I didn’t really have a problem with anybody. I see the comments that some individuals make but on the show I pretty much got along with everybody,” she added later.

Isis said she had never wanted to enter the show labeled as a “transgendered model” and had wanted to be judged “on the same level as anybody else.”

Since being announced as a contestant on the show, Isis said that she had received an outpouring of positive feedback from the gay, lesbian, and transgendered community, and even told reporters that she had been asked to be honored by a Maryland civil rights group. “I thought that was very wonderful. Like, why would you want to present me with an award?” she told reporters sheepishly.

“I learned first, for me [to actually say] ‘you know I’m gonna go for it, and no matter what people think about me and see my flaws I’m gonna give it my all because I never know what could come from [that] opportunity,” she told reporters.

She added that she had still to complete her gender reassignment, but hoped to finance it in the next year through modeling and fashion design jobs she hoped to get as a result of her participation from the show. “I’m a model and fashion designer, that’s my biggest passion, I’m an artist first,” she told reporters. “Hopefully I can be on runways and get campaigns.”

“It goes to show you that no matter what people say or think about you, or no matter where you come from, you can achieve whatever you want,” she told reporters later. “It’s cliche, but it’s true because I’m not where I wanna be yet. But even me getting this far, and from where I’ve started I’ve struggled a lot and will still continue to struggle, but I know that I’m moving in a positive light, so I’m happy.”

Good luck with all that, sister!

‘America’s Next Top Model’ Moving to Oxygen Network

Move over, Janice Dickinson! The real model show is invading your territory! Tyra Banks‘ show America’s Next Top Model has been bought by Oxygen Media (home of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency).

Oxygen has acquired the exclusive cable rights to the reality competition series Americas Next Top Model. The announcement was made last week by Jason Klarman, General Manager, Oxygen Media.

The network will bring viewers all the Top Model fashion challenges, photo shoots and model mayhem as the full library of the hit series joins Oxygen in January, 2009.

In an agreement with CBS Television Distribution, Oxygen will retain exclusive cable rights to all episodes including the 11th cycle currently airing on the CW, the shows 12th cycle now in production and repeat airings of any future cycles beyond.

Created and hosted by world-renowned supermodel Tyra Banks, Americas Next Top Model premiered in 2003 and became a phenomenal television success, especially among young women, Generation O, Oxygens target audience.

The Top Model genre of programming and the shows personalities have already proven successful on Oxygen, with The Tyra Banks Show airing daily on the network and former Top Model judge Janice Dickinsons series The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency now in its fourth season.

The acquisition of this franchise will be a great fit for Oxygens slate of original programming and introduce the show to an untapped demographically desirable cable audience, said Scott Koondel, Executive Vice President of Off-Network, Cable and Interactive Media for CBS Television Distribution.

I wonder if Janice and Tyra will ever reunite for an all-too-trashy joint episode?

Is Kelly Ripa Pregnant?

Is Kelly Ripa pregnant? Probably not…it was just the wind blowing up her dress this morning. She was filming a segment for her show Live with Regis and Kelly. I can’t stand that dress, but I have to say it looks good on her!

Kelly was recently honored by Us Magazine by being chosen on of the 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers. I think they got that right. Some other people on the list? Tyra Banks, John Legend, Sean Avery and Aubrey O’Day. I think for sure Kelly deserved it more than the other’s!

Janice Dickinson Badmouths Tyra Banks in a Battle of the Supermodels

Janice Dickinson may well be the most self-centered, arrogant woman on television. Her show Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency had a trans gendered contestant in its first season, while Tyra BanksAmerica’s Next Top Model debuts the first one this season. Here’s what Janice had to say about that:

I did it on my show first with Claudia (Charriez), the 53-year-old said. But you know what? Theres not going to be a moment where Tyras not going to knock me off, so Im not bothered by her.

Well, maybe shes a little bothered. Seems Janice thinks her former Top Model boss owes her some gratitude. I (never got) a note or call (from Tyra) thanking me for helping to put her show on the map, Janice complained. Whatever. Shes not my favorite person.

Right… Because Janice Dickinson is responsible for Tyra’s meager success. Ok. Guess she’s still a little bitter about that feud that led to her departure from Top Model.
