Keira Knightley & Viggo Mortensen Premiere ‘A Dangerous Method’ At TIFF

Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortensen walked the red carpet at Roy Thompson Hall of the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere their film A Dangerous Method.

Knightley, 26, wore a lovely, lacy, backless, pale peach colored dress from Elie Saab Couture. She paired the look with matching Miu Miu heels and minimal accessories. Love Keira’s look!

The two stars were at a press conference earlier in the day talking about the film.

“The most positive aspect of what Freud fathered was the idea of listening. One of the most loving things you can do is listen to someone,” Moretnsen, 52, said of his character in the film, Sigmund Freud.

“It was a very challenging role and I think that was one of the reasons why I really wanted to play her because I really didn’t know who she was,” the British actress said of her character Sabine Spielrein.

A Dangerous Method costars Michael Fassbender, Vincent Cassel and Sarah Gadon and was directed by David Cronenberg. It opens in theaters November 23rd.

Viggo Mortensen Drops ‘Snow White’ for ‘Superman’?

Viggo Mortensen has reportedly dropped out of the role of the Huntsman in the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman. This frees up his schedule making it possible to take the role as the villain in Zack Snyder‘s Superman: Man of Steel.

Viggo Mortensen has ended negotiations for the role of the huntsman in Universal’s “Snow White and the Huntsman” and has moved on from the project…

…Mortensen’s exit from “Huntsman” opens the door for him to take the role of the villain in Warner Bros.’ “Superman: Man of Steel,” which would have shot at about the same time.

Speculation on the villain role in “Superman” has ranged from Edgar Ramirez to Michael Shannon, but sources tell Variety Mortensen has been a leading contender.

Warner Bros. would not comment, but “Superman” director Zack Snyder is said to be interested in Mortensen.

I hope he takes the role in Superman, he’d be taking a brand new step as a major villain. I have no doubt he’d pull off a bad guy role brilliantly. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens, hopefully good news will come soon.

Bardem and Mortensen Up for Lead in Steven King’s Epic ‘Dark Tower’ Series

Javier Bardem and Viggo Mortensen are both up for the lead role in the upcoming Dark Tower films based on the Steven King books.

Ron Howard‘s adaptation of Stephen King‘s “The Dark Tower” has set off a casting frenzy in Hollywood. Agents are tripping over themselves to land their clients coveted roles in what promises to be a blockbuster film and television franchise. Leading the pack for the principal character, Roland Deschain, is Javier Bardem, with Viggo Mortensen a close second, sources tell us.

These movies are going to be huge! The Dark Tower series is considered by many to be one of the best fantasy book series in history, picking the actor to bring the main character to life of the big screen is no small choice. I’m voting Mortensen on this one, he’s got a flair for epics. Who would you choose? I’ll keep you posted on the happenings for these massive films.

Based on Cormac McCarthy’s best-selling and Pulitzer Prize winning novel, “The Road” is the epic post-apocalyptic tale of a journey taken by a father and his young son across a barren landscape that was blasted by an unnamed cataclysm that destroyed civilization and most life on earth.

This poster isn’t exactly the most informative or interesting. This movie does look like it could be pretty good though.

Viggo Mortensen Wants To Quit Acting

Viggo Mortensen Wants To Quit Acting

Viggo Mortensen has decided that he wants to pull a Joaquin Phoenix and stop acting. It’s amazing what people will do.

“No more movies. I haven’t said yes to one in over a year. If it all dries up now, I’ve had a good run.”

I know that Viggo was hot in the day. Would anyone really hire him looking like this? I know that he would be able to get any role he wanted if he really tried. I think it’s funny that he is pretty much admitting he’s washed up. That makes it hard to really say anything bad about him because of that.

Viggo Mortensen Is Unrecognizable!!

viggo-mortensen-new-look-4

Actor Viggo Mortensen attended the Jameson Empire Film Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London today (March 29). We haven’t seen Viggo in a while and we are absolutely shocked with his drastic change since “The Lord of The Rings”. The 50 year-old actor looks way older and his hair color is definitely not helping.
