Vin Diesel is a ‘Machine’

Vin Diesel is set to star in the upcoming action/comedy The Machine.

Diesel will play a human-like machine created in secrecy by the Pentagon to be the world’s first ultimate weapon. Some 20 years after the machine was decommissioned and buried, The Machine is discovered, reactivated and befriended by a kid. When the government  learns that The Machine is back in operation, the ultimate weapon’s mission becomes to protect the family that is harboring him.

After all the rumors of Diesel being in the next Terminator movie, this is the next best thing. He’s perfectly suited for this role, especially with his previous kids movie experience. This story is extremely reminiscent of the animated film The Iron Giant, which Vin Diesel voiced years ago. Hopefully this one lands more on the action side than the kids comedy side. I get the feeling this will have some impact on the Terminator role possibility, probably killing the chance.

‘Terminator 5′ to Star Vin Diesel?

Rumors and speculation have been swirling for months on the possible Terminator 5, now the movie’s likely director (Justin Lin) has mentioned Vin Diesel as the possible lead.

Justin Lin, the film’s director, was recently reported to be up for directing duties on a new “Terminator” film for Universal, and almost immediately rumours began to swirl – particularly at the junket – that Vin Diesel might be in line for a role in the film. Fair assumption, after all, Vin and Justin are not only good friends but they’ve now worked together several times (if you include Vin’s cameo in “Tokyo Drift”) and are already planning to work together again.

While Lin is open to the idea of his “Fast” lead taking on Skynet, the only person he has approached so far about “Terminator 5” is Arnold Schwarzenegger. Still, it’s not out of the question.

“Vin’s been a really great partner on this franchise”, Lin says of the duo’s involvement in the “Fast” series. “We’ve talked about the mythology [of the Terminator series]…[pause] he’s a great guy and a great actor. I really like working with him so anything I do I usually talk to him about. Sometimes we even talk about going back and doing a little indy movie.”

Vin seems like an obvious choice for playing a Terminator, I’m sure if he’s offered the role he’ll snatch it up quick! It seems like at this point in Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s career, he would also be likely to return for another movie. This is one of those moments where we’ll just have to wait and see, I’m sure official announcements with start flowing in the coming months. Now remember, Skynet went live on April 19th, 2011, at 8:11 PM, judgement day didn’t happen as scheduled, but you better watch out for robots from the future!

First Look: Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel in ‘Fast Five’ (Image)

Here’s the first look at the upcoming film Fast Five starring Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast Five. In this installment, former cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race.

I’m glad Dwayne Johnson has finally gotten back to his action roots, it’s where he belongs. Now Vin Diesel is trying to get back to being an action star, I’m not so hopeful for him.

Vin Diesel Parties With The Best Of Them

Vin Diesel Outside NightClub

What is a hot DILF like Vin Diesel supposed to do when his movie The Fast and the Furious does so well at the box office? Go hit a night club of course. Vin was spotted outside Guy’s night club last night in Los Angeles. And he even took the time to sign some autographs too.

It is being said that they are going to be coming back for The Fast and the Furious 5 now that they saw how good opening weekend was. Paul Walker explained Friday morning on a radio show just how excited he was about that thought.

“This was supposed to be it… Without question, the way that thing’s opened up, Vin and I will be coming back. We’re making a fifth one and we’re going to Brazil. That’s it! And I don’t think the best one (film) has been done yet. I think we could easily come back and make the best one.”

I haven’t seen the latest installment of the movie but if it has Paul and Vin in it I’m sure it will do amazing.

Vin Diesel Proves He’s A Real Man

Vin Diesel and girlfriend Paloma Jimenez celebrated their daughter‘s first birthday this week.    The proud dad and star of Fast and Furious recently spoke about being present for his baby’s birth.

It seems that he did it, in part, to defy his co-star Paul Walker‘s advice.

“I didn’t tell anybody (about the birth). I didn’t want cameras around us I wanted it to be as natural as possible. The only person I told was Paul Walker. And I said to Paul, ‘Should I be in the delivery room?’ and he says, ‘You know, don’t do it, you can’t stomach it.’

(But) it’s the best thing you’ll ever do in your life and, with that confidence, I marched into the delivery room and did everything but literally pull her out. I cut the umbilical cord. I was more present than I could’ve ever dreamed of (being) but the bonding that that allowed for with my daughter is priceless.”

Part of me wants to shame Paul for telling Vin that, and another part wonders if he did it to challenge Vin – in which case, it worked.   Vin really sounds like a great dad.  Lucky Paloma, and lucky baby!

Vin Diesel Back For The Fast And The Furious

Vin Diesel at Fast and Furious Premiere

How great it is to see Vin Diesel back on the red carpet? I have been missing him so much, and after he had his little girl we even saw less of him. He was on hand last night at the release of “Fast & Furious” the movie at Club LIV in Miami.

I thought that he was amazing when he made that Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay video game, I loved playing it, and mostly did just to hear his voice throughout it. And now he has another game coming out, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena it makes us all wonder if there will be another movie. Vin spoke out about that, satisfying our curiosity…for now.

“It is underway and I almost think it’s a coincidence that we haven’t heard anything, that there hasn’t been a lot of public stuff on the Riddick movie. But it’s interesting that you’ve made that comment.”

Vin sure knows how to not answer something. That’s okay, I’m just glad that he’s back out on the red carpet.
