Whitney Houston & Daughter Bobbi Kristina At Pre-Grammy Awards

Whitney Houston and her daughter Bobbi Kristina hit the red carpet of the 2011 Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons honoring David Geffen at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Saturday (February 12th) night.

Houston wore a sparkling black sheath dress while her daughter opted for a matte black mini with 3/4 length sleeves and long black leather gloves. The two were all smiles and looked absolutely adorable together.

Whitney performed a duet with Dionne Warwick inside the event hosted by music mogul, Clive Davis.

More Whitney photos are inside. (Read the article)

Whitney Houston Is Looking OLD (Photos)

Whitney Houston Looks OLD In Russia

I know, I know.  I am mean.  But wow.  I looked at these snaps of Whitney Houston in Russia this weekend performing at St. Petersburg’s Ice Palace and she looks so old to me!  And what is with that insane fur cape/coat?  Hello, PeTA is going to go nuts on you!  Thank goodness her pipes will always be stellar…love to hear her sing.

Whitney Houston I Look To You VIDEO
I think that I will always have The Bodyguard Whitney Houston stuck in my head and as she ages, I will continue to be shocked.  She’s still beautiful, just not the fox she used to be.  But let’s face it, Bobby Brown did a ‘number’ on her that can’t be fixed…

Whitney Houston Does “X Factor”

Whitney Houston, I Look To You cover

Continuing to promote her “comeback” CD, Whitney Houston will be heading over to the UK to be on The X Factor. The X Factor is the UK version of American Idol also starring Simon Cowell.

It should be a fun night. I am a fan of Simon Cowell’s and look forward to meeting him,” said Houston.

Does she even know who Simon Cowell is? Is he going to critique her on her singing? Will she be ‘mentoring’ the contestants?

Whitney Houston has already hit up the Today Show, and even had a sit down interview with Oprah in order to promote her new album, I Look To You. This is Whitney’s first solo album since 2002!

Check Out Whitney Houston’s “I Look To You” (Video)

Whitney Houston‘s new album “I Look To You” tops the charts this week. We’ve got the video for the first song off that album, also titled “I Look To You.”

I know girl has been through a LOT, OK? But THIS is her big comeback? The song is nice, very inspirational. But I think we could have hoped for a little more choreography out of her than just flipping her skirt around. I’m underwhelmed, what about you?

Whitney Houston, Is THAT You? (photo)

Whitney Houston, I Look To You cover

Whitney Houston is working on a major comeback.  Clive Davis threw her a listening party to help promote her album, I Look To You coming out on September 1st.

Here is the cover art for the album (above).  What do you think of it?  I think it’s an odd picture.  It’s obviously Whitney Houston.  It’s just not her.  Do you get my drift?

Who Wore It Best? Madonna vs Whitney Houston

Madonna and Whitney Houston same dress

Tuesday night Whitney Houston was in London and Madonna was in Milan.  Thank goodness they weren’t sharing the same city since they both sported the same Dolce & Gabbana dress!

These women are two very different people, but it seems that theu share the same taste in fine clothing.

Who wore it best?  Madonna or Whitney Houston?  My vote goes to Whitney!  Madge looks gross.

Rihanna Following Whitney’s Footsteps with “Bodyguard” Remake?

rihannabodyguard

Since the now infamous Hollywood Domestic “Disturbia” involving Rihanna and Chris Brown, it’s been near-impossible not to compare the singer to another talented victim of a punch-happy partner, Whitney Houston.  But do the comparisons stop there?  Not according to the NY Daily News, who are reporting rumors that Rihanna will be reprising Houston’s role in a remake of 1992′s The Bodyguard.

The film which is reported to have a younger, sexier take on the “protect me and fall in love with me at the same time” tale, is also said to have signed Channing Tatum in the title role formerly played by Kevin Costner.

While this story is just a little too ironic to be true, still interesting nonetheless!

Whitney Houston “Sounding Great”

Songwriter Sean Garrett is just one of the many hit-makers involved in Whitney Houston‘s comeback album project with mentor Clive Davis, and he’s already buzzing about their progress, he couldn’t help but release some word to the media.

“She’s sounding great,” Garrett said of Houston. “I met with Clive yesterday in New York. She’s gonna hear the records that I did for her this week, and we’ll be getting in the studio cutting them. The records that she has are great. She’s sounding great. She’s definitely gonna be back.”

Are YOU excited about the potential for a Whitney comeback?

Whitney Houston Headlining Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy 2009 Party!

Whitney Houston has been confirmed to headling/open music mogul Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy Awards party this year on February 6th; and is said to sample five tracks from her upcoming comeback album. Exciting!

We’ve been hearing about (and hoping for) a new album for a long time, and it looks like the project’s finally seeing a March 2009 release date!

NEW MUSIC: Whitney Houston feat. Akon – “Like I Never Left”

I love a good song title like this. One thing I can’t stand when an artist makes a comeback, is when their single has too much to do with their personal life. When your life’s already been displayed on tabloid headlines, I don’t need a soundtrack to it. Keep the topical for people like me: bloggers. So appropriately enough, I love that this track makes you think it’s all about Whitney Whitney Whitney, when in fact the Akon-assisted ballad plays like a theme any woman who wants their man to take them back (after leaving… get it?) can relate to.

It’s beautifully-produced with surprisingly subdued vocals from Houston (but that’s a good thing. We don’t always need a power vocal circus *ahem* Mariah), and while I’m doubtful it will get much club attention, it plays as a beautiful chapter II to 1998′s “My Love Is Your Love”

Check it out!
