‘Seven Psychopaths’ Premiere: Collin Farrell & Sam Rockwell Rock Twin Christopher Walken Shirts

Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell

The crime comedy Seven Psychopaths premiered last night in Los Angeles, with Two Goofballs dominating the red carpet.  Colin Farrell and Sam Rockwell hammed it up in matching attire – black suits and t-shirts emblazoned with the face of their co-star Christopher Walken.

Why?  Farrell jokingly explained:

“My wife didn’t come back from the laundromat in time… I can’t remember, one of us or both of us got them made when we were doing the film. Paparazzi were hanging around so we said, ‘We’ll all get T-shirts and get our pictures taken by the paparazzi like a bunch of spazz.’ But it was — we were bored.”

That’s what we thought.

Speaking of paparazzi, Tom Waits used his turn on the red carpet to snap some pictures of his own.  Click through to see those, as well as more photos of Farrell and Rockwell, and Walken’s response to this dubious tribute.  Seven Psychopaths also stars Abbie Cornish, Olga Kurylenko, Woody Harrelson, Helena Mattsson and Gabourey Sidibe, and hits theaters on October 12th.

LOOK: New ‘Hunger Games’ Images Released

The Hunger Games

Moviegoers who are eagerly awaiting The Hunger Games got a New Year’s gift from Lionsgate today.  The film company released a few more images from the movie, and they’re likely to just make you (excuse the pun) hungry for more.

We have two solo shots of Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), and one with her speaking into a microphone with Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket).  There’s also a photo of three male characters:  Lenny Kravitz (Cinna), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch) and Josh Hutcherson  (Peeta Mallark).   The images give a fuller sense of the characters’ costumes and the tone of the film.

According to a recent poll by NextMovie, The Hunger Games is THE most anticipated movie of 2012.  Will you be going to see it?  Drop a comment and tell us!

WATCH: Jennifer Lawrence In ‘The Hunger Games’ Trailer

Take a look at the first trailer for The Hunger Games!!

Good Morning America had the first peek of Jennifer Lawrence and the gang are in their full-costumed glory (check out Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket in matching magenta suit and make-up!)

The first trailer is all about the lead up to the games, giving viewers an introduction to the characters and places; and of course, how the story comes to be with Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) fighting for their lives in The Hunger Games.

We only get a glimpse at the other competitors and a small window of the beginning of the deadly competition but I’m sure more will be coming.

The Hunger Games cast includes Liam Hemsworth, Wes Bentley, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Lenny Kravitz and directed by Gary Ross opens March 23, 2012.

Woody Harrelson Joining ‘Hunger Games’

Woody Harrelson has been cast in the upcoming young adult novel adaptation The Hunger Games.

Woody Harrelson has landed the latest co-starring role in Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games, the adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel that will be released March 23, 2012. He will play Haymitch Abernathy, the mentor of the lead character Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who Abernathy trains to fight in a televised battle to the death among teen teams.

Seems like new casting news comes down the pipeline for this movie every day, but this is one that surprised me a bit. Harrelson isn’t a face I expected to see amongst this crowd, but the list just keeps growing. Honestly I’ll be glad when they are done casting and just get to shooting!

‘Defendor’ Trailer with Woody Harrelson Looks Goofy

Defendor Poster

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming Woody Harrelson comedy Defendor.

This doesn’t look like a winner to me. Seems very low budget and quirky, but maybe that is what could make it good? I’m definitely not rushing out to see this one based on the trailer.

Rating: TBA

Trailer:

Release Date: November 13th, 2009

Thoughts: Roland Emmerich love to make disaster films, and he makes them often. The problem is the films are more about special effects than anything else, so this movie is probably going to be the same substance free stuff. This movie will be a success because of all the theories swirling around that ominous date of December 21st , 2012. But just because it’s a hot subject doesn’t mean it will be a good movie.
