Zac Efron and the cast of The Lorax are hoofing it all over Europe on the movie’s promotional tour. They began in Madrid, and on Friday hit Rome for a photocall at Casa del Cinema.
Prior to their appearance, Efron sampled the local cuisine with his co-star Danny DeVito and DeVito’s wife Rhea Perlman.

Dr. Seuss‘ environmental fable, The Lorax is coming to the big screen in a brightly colored world of 3D and CGI animation in the spring of 2012 and the first trailer is here.
Zac Efron voices the boy (named Ted in the film) and Taylor Swift is Ashley, the girl he has a crush on who wants nothing more than to see the Truffala Trees in the natural world.
Danny Devito is the “furry peanut” The Lorax, Betty White is Ted’s grandmother and Ed Helms will bring the Once-ler to life.
The trailer gives a glimpse at the tale Seuss was telling – the industrial and consumerist society that destroys the natural world – while trying to fill out the hour-plus long time the film will run with humor and remain true to the story.
Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul are the writers for this adaptation and the duo also worked on Horton Hears A Who and Despicable Me.

Zac Efron takes the streets of New York surrounded by holiday greenery as a bike messenger for his role in the star studded flick New Year’s Eve.
The sequel to last year’s Valentine’s Day is another parade of celebrities with barely interconnecting plot lines themed around a holiday.
For the teen factor, this time director Gary Marshall has added Efron and Glee’s Lea Michele to the mix.
Other stars include Michelle Pfeiffer, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel and Robert DeNiro.
The movie is due in theaters December 9th.

Zac Efron and Australian actress Teresa Palmer were spotted having a romantic night out on Thursday February 3rd.
The pair attended a Los Angeles screening of Palmer’s most recent film, Take Me Home Tonight and headed to a cozy dinner for two at Pink Taco followed by an evening at Voyuer Nightclub in West Hollywood.
According to eyewitnesses, they put their flirt fest out there for the world to see:
“There was definitely some hand-holding. The two ate together and seemed really engaged in conversation. They seemed really into each other.
“They weren’t trying to hide their affection at all, even though they knew people were watching them.”
Efron and his former girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens were together again just after the holidays but it looks like the High School Musical duo are off again, for now.
Palmer’s other hot movie, I Am Number Four, due out February 18th.
Efron just completed work on The Lucky One, due in 2012 and has started filming New Years Eve.

The 2011 People’s Choice Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre Live L.A. Wednesday night (January 5th) and young Hollywood came out in full force.
Taylor Swift won for Favorite Country Music Artist and Zac Efron grabbed the Favorite Movie Star Under 25 trophy.
Ashley Tisdale, Miranda Cosgrove, Emma Roberts, Raven Symone and sisters AJ and Aly Michalka were all on hand for the evening. The stars brought out their fashion A-game as Tisdale wore Farah Angsana, Swift chose J Mendel, Roberts picked Chrisitan Dior, Cosgrove wore Nicole Miller, and Gomez wore Paule Ka on the blue carpet and Irina Shabayeva for her performance.
AnnaLynne McCord, Cassie Scerbo and Josie Loren were also at the ceremony.

They met during the filming of High School Musical and have been dating for three years, but it wasn’t meant to last. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have separated, with no hard feelings. The relationship “ran it’s course,” said a source.
In August, Efron told Details magazine he was happiest in his committed and stable relationship:
“I think a lot of guys would enjoy that. But I’m not really like that. Believe me, I rack my brain thinking ‘Why am I not out there playing the field?’ One of my buddies was like, ‘You have no idea what’s going on right now. You’re peaking on Ecstasy and you’re watching TV.’ But it’s not in my heart. It’s exactly how it should be. It’s real.”
Efron will have plenty of options – and so will Hudgens, for that matter. The two are young, attractive and hot properties in Hollywood.
Things happen, people change, relationships falter but it is nice to see that there is no ugly drama involved.

Zac Efron is doing the beard thing right now and I am not feeling it. I think he looks a billion times better clean shaven. I felt the same way when Robert Pattinson stepped out with a hairy face.

Zac Efron is Details’ main man for September 2010. He gives a very frank and surprisingly profane interview, accompanied by photos that any Zac fan will totally *heart*. Most interesting are his comments about his relationship with sweetie Vanessa Hudgens. His comments about why he remains faithful will just make the ladies swoon even harder.

Zac Efron says he want to play a villain in a James Bond film.
Zac admits that he’s a huge fan of the franchise and would do just about anything to share the screen with the current Bond, Daniel Craig.
“I’m a huge James Bond fan,” Efron said. “I’d love to be a Bond baddie. I’ve seen pretty much every Bond film.
“Sean Connery is my favorite and I really like Goldeneye with Pierce Brosnan.”
Ok, not to say he’s a bad actor or anything, but a Bond villain? I think he’s more than a little too candy/pop for that. Wait a few years Zac, people might buy you as a bad guy after you look less like a Seventeen magazine cover model.
