Kate Gosselin is striking out in everything these days.  First she loses her husband to a divorce that is completely her fault, then her show Jon & Kate Plus 8 goes on hiatus, next she had to put her cookbook, Love Is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories on hold, now her clothing line plans aren’t going to happen.  Kate helped design some clothes with Heathtex that she showed off on Rachael Ray back in May.

I’ll bet Kate is going nuts.  All these things that were giving her more fame and attention are getting shut down and there’s nothing she can do about it.  She’s going to have a lot of time on her hands to spend with her family.  Well, her kids at least and we know how much she loves doing that alone……

Hilary Swank was seen shooting a running scene for her latest film, The Resident.  She was hot and sweaty but looked as sexy as ever.  That girl is such amazing shape, it’s put’s those of us in decent shape to shame.  I love her.  She is an amazing talent and I love seeing her work.

I am counting down the day until the premiere of Big Brother 11 and we only have 8 days to go!  July 9th is almost here and this is going to be a fabulous season.

The Big Brother House is going green this year and why wouldn’t they?  Everyone is going green, right?

Yeah, I know.  As if we didn’t already know how highly Jillian Harris thinks of herself.  But, Jillian is tooting her own horn in defense of her decision to keep Wes by giving him a rose on Monday night.

“It is hard reading... how disappointed you all are with me for keeping Wes… I totally understand where you’re coming from though and I know how frustrating it is when you wish I could have seen what you’re seeing now (I feel your pain!).”

“But if there is any consolation to you at all, it is that my promise still stands… I AM a smart girl, and I AM extremely happy with the final result. And the most important decision (which is the only one that really matters) was the right one!”

Well, I AM NOT convinced that Wes is actually available.  I don’t believe him and I am not sure what it would take at this point to convince me either.

American Idol finalist (7th place), Ace Young has found another love in his life and she goes by the name, Allison Fischer. He popped the question, she said yes and now all they have left is setting the date.

This super cute couple met while starring in Broadway’s Grease revival.  That is so sweet.  Ace has a passion for singing and now he and the love of his life can share that love.

“I found my true love in Grease,” Young tells Usmagazine.com.

Congrats to the happy couple!  Set a date, we can’t wait!

As if there’s not enough to talk about on Gossip Girl already!   With the kids of GG going to college at NYU, they were sure to meet new people.  We just found out that one of the new faces will be singer/actress Hilary Duff.

The actress-designer-pop chanteuse will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience. She ends up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) so it’s safe to say she’ll be majoring in Drama!

Hmm sounds interesting.  I wonder just what sort of drama Hilary’s character will be getting into.

Actor Karl Malden has died today at the age of 97.

Karl Malden, the Oscar- and Emmy-winning character actor who was best known over his six-decade career as the star of TV series “The Streets of San Francisco” and a series of American Express commercials, died of natural causes Wednesday at his home in Brentwood, Calif. He was 97.

Tall and heavyset, Malden was highly regarded for his versatility. He excelled at roles with an Everyman quality such as Mitch, the naive suitor of Blanche DuBois in Tennessee Williams’ “A Streetcar Named Desire.” He originated the role on Broadway and won a supporting actor Oscar for Elia Kazan’s 1951 film adaptation.

Though he was nominated for each of the five seasons of ”Streets of San Francisco,” in which he starred opposite a young Michael Douglas, Malden won his Emmy for the 1984 miniseries ”Fatal Vision.”

Another of Hollywood’s founding talents dies. Condolences to his family and friends.
